You're young Homestar you can handle getting by on 3 hours sleep. For me this is the only time I get to myself without my husband or kids calling me every 2 mins. I'm also waiting for my son to get home from play practice. It's really foggy and stormy out here and I get nervous when he's driving home. He'd better get home soon so I can get some sleep. :)

Well he's not home yet so I'm not going anywhere. So what can we talk about. How old are you? My son is 17, I figure you're around that, am I right?

He's actually waiting for his letters to come in from the colleges he's applied to. We're actually in a debate at the moment, he wants to study English Lit and Drama, which is fine, he wants to be a teacher, also fine. He seems to have his heart set on Hunter College in Manhattan, but I really like St. Frances College in Brooklyn. I'm sure Hunter is a good school, but St. Frances is very good as well. I'm really of the Catholic school mindset and he's been in Catholic school since pre-k and I would really like to see him continue on that path through College. But he did promise me that he wouldn't make his final decision untiil all letters of acceptance or decline are in. So please say a prayer for St. Frances. You would make this mom very happy.

I remember those days, the "debates" with my parents. Glad those days are over...lol..but i will be sure to pray for him..and for whatever school he ends up choosing. Man that was the worst part of senior year.
Oh, cool, Fatima. I almost went for Lit. Does your son write?
He's written some poetry (he even won a poetry contest!) and he's also worked on writing some school plays. Last year he finally decided to audition and landed a part in Romeo and Juliet and this year he was in A Christmas Carol and in May he will be in Macbeth at school. He also has a band and he writes lyrics and music. His main goal is to get his masters and return to his HS as a teacher.

If I survive senior year it will be a miracle. My only consolation is that my daughter is only in the Kindergarten, so after this year I have 12 years to recover before I have to go through this again. LOL.
