Sarah Palin's stupidity has nothing to do with her sex.

And your inability to spell words correctly in a large number of your posts has nothing to do with your sex either. :D

J_lol seriously you are coming off as an offensive bigot. Why not simply take a break from posting about Sarah Palin, and maybe even take a break from posting about American politics . . . after all you are a Canadian, and so you do not even have horse in the race.
Well, thats hardly my fault you feel that way. I dont see how me posting about a giant environmental disaster in the ocean that affects more than just the people of the USA requires me to be an american. even if it were just on american soil, i would still not need to be american to comment on an environmental disaster of that kind, just as i dont need to be Russian to comment on their atomic bomb testing in Siberia.

This is a decent video explaining what's going on. There are probably others, but I saw this pop up on YouTube.

JLol, drill baby drill! The next time there is an automobile or airplane crash, I am expecting you to post "Now is the time to find alternative modes of transportation."

in other news...

even Fidel Castro has weighed in on this event http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2010/05/08/world/main6469488.shtml
and i am surprised to say, he may have a point
"Fidel Castro says the spreading oil slick fouling the Gulf of Mexico is proof that the world's most powerful governments cannot control large corporations that now dictate the public's destiny."

this issue does quite seriously affect the public.
Why would anyone care what Fidel Castro thinks on the oil spill. The Cuban government has been selling offshore leases to China, which is hardly an environmentally responsible thing to do.

Fidel has always been a hypocrite, which is why I do not care about what he has to say.

It is a fact that China is going to drill of the coast of the United States in order to supply its energy needs, and I hope they do choose to do the same thing with Canada. Someone is going to tap into the offshore oil supplies, and quite honestly I would rather it be done by American companies that can be held accountable in American courts for any accidents that may occur.

Sure, the oil is going to be taken out of the ground by someone, if the Canadian and American governments are stupid enough to allow China and other nations (e.g., Russia) to do that, each country will get what it richly deserves.

China has been developing offshore wells near Florida (with Cuban leases) for about five or six years now.

Deep water drilling outside the 200 mile coastal economic limit is perfectly legal.

China wants to become an economic power, and that requires energy (coal, oil and gas). We may not like it, but what is done outside our 200 mile coastal limits is not in our control.
