MithLuin
:bump: So....who wants to go for a walk? This year's walk will be led by Martha, a veteran of the 2009 and 2010 walks, and a new graduate of Franciscan University in Steubenville. The dates are June 27th - August 12th 2011. If you're interested in applying, contact them for more information: http://www.themoes.us/2011-summer-walk1/
Amppax
this definitely looks like something that I would be interested in in future years, but probably not this year. btw, cool, FUS!!!

MithLuin
Yep, lots of good Dominican repping going on with this group! Many of last year's walkers were from FUS (including the leaders), but the group was not founded there. They actually began at the University of Maryland. Who'd've thunk? MithLuin
Well, now would be a good time to consider whether or not you want to do this this summer. Please go to the website and fill out an interest form if you are considering it, and the walk's leader will get in touch with you. MithLuin
Oh, yes, so do I. Both U of MD and Villa Julie (now Stevenson U) had a very solid Catholic group. But this is the type of group one would be more likely to associate with Steubenville, even though they only got their first FUS walker 2 years ago (I think). Most people in the group that I met had not attended a Catholic college - they went to places like Penn State and Texas A & M.
MithLuin
So, the Walk is getting underway in just a few weeks. Last chance if anyone is interested in joining them! Also, I'd like to request prayers for the group this summer. You can always pray for the Walkers, of course, but also for their host families/parishes, and all the people they will meet in their travels. It's a wonderful opportunity for evangelization, of course, but it relies entirely on the Holy Spirit. So....the best thing you can do to support the Missionaries of the Eucharist is to pray for them . Donations are always welcome, of course. MithLuin
The Missionaries of the Eucharist will be at the March for Life in DC! If you are interested in meeting them there, they will be doing retreat-like things on Sunday and the March on Monday, so please contact them. Also...time to start thinking about whether or not you'd like to go for a WALK this summer!
