Mary's Knight, La
speaking of Therese register on the site because that's how they determine what areas they're going to try to distribute it to first Leonardo De Fillipis is an awesome guy and the movie is financed solely through donations
luciana
Wow, I didn't know about the St. Faustina movie! Check out this paragraph on the website:
Jesus told Faustina “My gaze from this Image is like My gaze from the Cross”. (326) One afternoon in Stockbridge, Father Seraphim Michalenko shared with us an astounding revelation. In Father Seraphim's words:Faustina would come to the artist every so often between January and June of 1934 and every time she came he would have to change the face because she didn’t like it. It was at least 10 times and maybe more. So finally she came one day, and as far as she was concerned, the image was ugly, but Jesus said “leave it in the state its in, it not good but it will do, you don’t have to change it anymore... and thats the one that matches the Shroud.
According to the video, also, they mention that the features match anatomically. Here's a link to the restoreddivine mercy image. The face definitely looks more Mid. Eastern than on the popularlly known image. It does look like that pic people might have seen of an image they've made based on the shroud. BTW, Caveziel's face in TPOTC movie looks very much like the shroud image, too. Check out: http://www.mercyimages.com/
The Vilnius Image and the Shroud of Turin.Because Faustina was not an artist, her spiritual director Father Sopocko took her to a local Vilnius artist named Eugene Kazimirowski, who painted this Image directly under Faustina’s supervision. Sadly remarking, “Lord, who will paint You as beautiful as you are” (Diary 313), Faustina had the artist change the face at least 10 times. Finally, Our Lord told Faustina that it was good enough - to leave it in the state it’s in. Just recently it was accidentally discovered at a prayer group in Arizona, that the face on this Image perfectly matched the one on the Holy Shroud of Turin. This restored Vilnius Image is the only Image painted under St. Faustina’s direction. It is now available for the first time as it was originally painted. crusader1234
Mel Gibson Movie: This would be interesting. Certainly would put to rest those anti semetic comments about him. Id also like to see how violently he interprets the destruction of the temple haha Therese: Looks good, but kind of like a 'chick flick'. Oh well... I watched the writers comments, and she said how it gives the message that to beocme a saint, just do small thigns with love. Reminded me of Mother Theresa. I still say Saved! looks like a good christian movie.
