This is one line in the bill...and there is nothing more to it written in the bill...

I wish the bill would describe in detail what types of public offenses this kind of action would warrant? In my humble opinion, and by experience in my own life, this just gives law enforcement officers the use of their own judgements, in order to arrest, and detain persons who may be innocent...

I just fear that this will give law enforcement officers free reign to harrass innocent, Mexican-American Citizens of the United States of America...(that means, they are AMERICAN, y'all!)

That one line in the bill is very similar to any law of a state that enforces that people need a license to drive on the road. A officer does not need a warrant to search your car, or arrest you if you cannot provide a divers license.

One, I wouldn't trust the liberals at ABC news, two ABC news didn't write the law, three, law enforcement uses the same justification to arrest drivers without licenses.

Yes, just as the van full of Arabs I saw pulled over last night were discriminated against. Who cares that there was a bomb scare in Times Square, and who cares that their big, shady van was heading towards New York City. It was not politically correct to pull them over.

Also note that Mexicans are not the only ones coming over the border, it's all kinds of races, and Law Enforcement understands this quite well. This is not a law just for Mexicans, but any illegal immigrate no matter their race.

according to US history, some cops have wrongly targeted people just because of their skin color.

Also, I highly doubt a police officer will pull up next to a Mexican dressed in a suit and tie walking out of a coffee shop and demand to see paperwork. I feel this law will be enforced during, say, a drug bust.

Yes, but it is racist and bigoted to assume that all cops, a majority of cops, or a lot of cops are going to go around and arrest people because the cop is white and the other person isn't. All this law does is enforce existing Federal Law, it does not give cops the free for all to start putting Mexicans in death camps.

People who want an open border should also take the same policy to heart. They should take the doors off their houses and allow ANYONE in, and then they should pay for their food and health care.
