If you really want to we can move temporarily to Munich where the law is 16.

16 for beer and wine...still 18 for distilled alcohol(i.e., rum).

Well, there should be a Crucifix hanging right above the bar...

Like at the Augustiner Bräustübl...there are crucifixes all over the place. (Then again, it was an Augustinian convent/-run brewery at one point.)

So, after we get on a caffeine high, and sing all 99 verses of 99 bottles of beer on the wall, do we get to debate history? My new topic I am really into is Jesuitry.

Thanks MIkolbe. I've heard the cider in Ireland is very good, and is NOT the same as what we call cider in the U.S.

Cider! Guinness is better... but sometimes you're in the mood for apple juice that makes you feel a little funny.

Since I have NO tolerance for alcohol, about half a cider will make me drunk. I'm a cheap date.

We should make a real phatmass pub, and it should be in the middle of the atlantic ocean so that Americans and Europeans have an equal distance. Australians would have to go far i guess.

  • 3 years later...

I cannot resist Franziskaner Weißbier.  I downed a half-pint on a clear day halfway up a mountain in the Bavarian alps.  I traipsed back down into the valley with jolly St. Francis' legacy in my belly.  They have beer gardens up as high as possible.  Beer gardens and crucifixes.  And "Grüß Gott!"  Oh Bavaria.

Why can it be acceptable for you all to drink in moderation and sometimes not drink in moderation and it is un acceptable for someone to smoke heroin, snort cocaine, or puff on a joint in moderation and sometimes not in moderation unacceptable? Or is moderate drug use even unaccetable? I honestly would like to see a ban from all alcohol advertising in australia and higher prices and taxes on the substance. An estimated 10% of australia are either alcoholic or problem drinkers, this is an epedemic and should shock us not something that we should revel in. Keep your drinking to yourself i say, please stop advertising it, socially or publicly.
