I just wrote about this in another post. I think Phatmass has THE BEST emoticons. I have three or four that I use a lot, but my very favorite is one that I can rarely work in to a post, that is:[img]http://www.phatmass.com/phorum/public/style_emoticons/default/ascension.gif[/img]

What is your favorite emoticon? Not necessarily the one you use most often, but the one you like the best.

This simple emoticon is, in my opinion, the most versatile and expressive I've ever come across. The MSN equivalent :| has negative connotations, while this :mellow: beauty can say nearly anything.

It's an expression I use roughly half the time in real life anyway, with ^_^ taking up most of the rest.

Hey~! This seems like an awesome time to ask you PM oldies. What was that :ph34r: emoticon all about? I always see people using it in old posts, so I can tell it was relatively popular, but obviously it's got no image associated with the code anymore.

Just realized that :ph34r: is now :ninja: (:ni[s][/s]nja:) just as :wub: is now :love: (:lo[s][/s]ve:). Sadder things have happened I suppose. :sadder: I miss the old :cool: smiley that winked.

I almost wish this mystery hadn't been solved........ :sadwalk:
Somehow I had imagined something named "ph34r" to be way more epic than just :ninja:.
