The texts of the [i]Novus Ordo[/i] were written by a committee called the Consilium [sic] in the 1960s.

Cool. But, who was on the committee? How were they funded?

I'm not saying that just compensation [b]can't[/b] work without copyrights. Just that that's one way to make it work.

It's almost the same question as whether the Bible should be copyrighted, given that the majority of the liturgy (particularly Communion) is Scripture quotations.
