You mean she burnt up the science project of the girl next to her, and by doing so, set back the progress of mankind by thousands of years? Wow! Heavy stuff.

What if he really was superman? What an undiscreet prejudice from the teacher's part.

[/quote]

Well, Superman IS supposed to keep his real identity a secret, so the teacher may have been misled into thinking Tony was a "false Superman" because he broke one of Superman's cardinal rules. Heck, we all get carried away sometimes.

Not only does that not surprise me, but I would have been almost disappointed to learn that you never made someone in authority sufficiently mad or uncomfortable to give you a detention/suspension. Schools, in general, are not fond of those who speak their minds.

P.S. I hope the detentions/suspensions were for something that made it worth the hassle.

I got detention once for giving too much lip to a teacher. Imagine that.

Pretending to be Superman is pretty good. However, the kid in my brother's first grade class who told the teacher he had to go to the bathroom is my personal hero. When she told him he couldn't go, he stood up on the tabletop, unzipped, and peed right there in the floor. Needless to say, whenever Wesley asked to go to the bathroom after that, he was allowed straightaway. :rolling:

Okay, the "today" part confuses me but I will keep the confusion to myself.
Anyway, I can't pick up your old "Knights who say NEE" thread anymore....but the thread came to mind just now. I'm driving my car down Providence Highway and saw a Maine license plate. You posted to the old thread that you saw a license plate that said NEE, well, the Maine plate said EESH.
Of course, no self-respecting Knight says Eesh, does he now! Not when he could say "Strewth!" or "Zounds!"...

I love the story about the kid in your brother's first grade class. I wonder if this was the teacher's first year of teaching. I have no kids, and even "I" know that if a 6-year old boy says he has to go, he means it! Now!!
