Okay.. I've found one more problem.

I thought I went through and deleted all the amazingautosearch files that hijackthis had found.

But now, whenever I try to go to my home page on IE, it attempts to link it through the amazingautosearch website. AAS puts a sort of search-window thing along the bottom of the screen, then directs me to my normal homepage. When I have my pop-up blocker on, it won't let the search-window come up, and won't let me go to my homepage.

Did I just miss deleting a file or something? Should I run hijackthis again? It never did this before I used the anti-spyware stuff.

There are some programs out there that will "lock" your homepage to what you want. Get one and lock in on the site you want. About the search bar, no idea.

i use a different browser called mozilla, it has automatic pop-up blocker and is a really nice brower..... [url="http://www.mozilla.com"]http://www.mozilla.com[/url] and dl the latest version if ya want

i also have a program called ad-aware that goes through and finds all of the spyware and tracking software on my puter so you could give that a try....im pretty sure you could find it on [url="http://www.download.com"]http://www.download.com[/url]

Do you remember what this program is called?

I'm sure the search bar thing is just part of the spyware.
