That just happened to me today and I felt the same way! Someone said, "let the nice lady finish her job so she can go home." It felt weird.

"Weird" is right!!!

Another time I was standing at a crosswalk and a mom with her little daughter said something about "ask that lady" while pointing in my direction. I actually looked around me to see who they were pointing to.

Then:

Oh.

When your Mom tells you that the next door neighbot's daughter is getting married, and you realize that she wasn't even born yet when you left home.

you know your grown up when you tell your kids you will understand when you have kids of your own and they do (have kids and understand).

You know you're grown up when you can use your and you're properly.

I work as a cashier, and I feel weird every time a parent refers to me as a dame(woman) when they talk to their kids.

And, not only do you use "your" and "you're" properly, but you understand why it is important to use them correctly.

Ash Wednesday

I felt that way today, because I spent the whole day discussing APR financing, service history and car mileage with my husband while shopping for a car. I mean, not just a couple hours of this, but the entire. day.

....You sign that check that goes with your tax return.

Been there... made me feel very... self-employed. :annoyed:

Yes I just didn't want you to think something like this.

I so hope that's not you.

You know you're grown up when you cease to like toilet humour.

I forgot about that Dame! Hahahaha!

I actually first thought this:

A professed Benedictine nun. Particularly Dame Agnes from In This House of Brede. :hehe:

Nihil Obstat

You're not grown up until the priest is saying the last rites and you're picking out your coffin.
So there.
