jeffpugh
One night at dinner, a girl brought up what symbolism she found in the dinning hall that conveyed discrimination of women and the evil patriarchal society that we live in. Sugar packets were compared. The blue one (which was a symbol of masculinity) said "equal" on it to convey that all MEN are equal and the the pink sugar packet (which was a symbol of feminity) had "sweet and low" written on it. This was conveying a woman's low status and that she had to be nice, nurturing, and submissive. The salt placed in the salt shacker was white to convey the stereotype that a woman is to be pure and the pepper shacker covneys that men to be exciting, interesting, and dark which meant impure (this was implied by her but not specifically stated.) She pointed out a bowl which symbolized the woman in Greek mythology as the one who is merely to hold the child whearas the man is the spoon (which is the image of you know what for a guy.) The spoon actually does the "work" in the fertilization. So what are we supposed to not use spoons and bowls now? All of these observations apparentally are used by our society to manipulate us and to keep us in line about the norm for one's stereotypical gender. And she was being serious about all that she said.
Woow... what an unhealthy obsession... poor girl.

goldenchild17
real feminists would stop worrying about sweet n low and instead make a fuss over real problems. ie.: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worldnews/article-1265068/China-The-worlds-new-superpower-beginning-century-supremacy-alarming-surplus-males.html#ixzz0kqOfK6tf

Sheesh. I am the smart alec who would tell her that a trough was always available for a dining option, but she probably wouldn't go for that since pigs sometimes eat from troughs, and we all know that men are "bringing home the bacon." So there's plates...but they represent dishes that should be washed...obviously by subjugated women. Oh, I know...paper plates!! YE....er, no, not that either, since we're killing Mother Earth's lovely trees to make them. Don't you hear the trees screaming?!?! Don't you?!?!?! MEN ARE MAKING TREES CRY!!!! These broads make me have a headache. What's funny is it actually takes an awful lot of testicular fortitude to make these arguments with a straight face. tinytherese
I'm not sure about her experiences with men so much. I do know though that she is bisexual and she was really offended when she was in elementary school when the boys were signing up for flag or was it touch football and she wasn't allowed to join because she was a girl. Men are physically stronger than women though, no matter how radical feminists want to argue, unless you're a really buff wonder woman.(They don't let just any woman become a cop. She's really has to kick butt.)

How can you hate half the people on the planet? Way too much negativity for me. Men aren't perfect, but they are nice to have around.
Why, thank you. Women aren't that bad either. This is making me wonder... Why aren't there any 'hominists'? (I hope I'm not giving anyone ideas)
