I'm thinking about going gluten free (at least mostly) for a week to see if it helps me. Any recommendations for good recipes?
missionseeker
I'm not really the person to ask for that. I'm still on a college meal so I mostly eat salads. Or if I ask them to fix me something, they ALWAYS fix me chicken and onions and peppers. WHich is good, but... I want steak.
Ah, that is extremely unfortunate. You know how I said I'm not picky about my food? Well onions zucchini and mushrooms happen to be three of the only five foods I won't eat... the other two being (most varieties of) squash and sweet potatoes.
Btw, you're more picky than my seven month old baby who already eats most of those foods. Wait, he hasn't tried mushrooms yet. The onion was an accident, he found a piece on the kitchen floor when I was chopping vegetables and he chewed on it for a minute- he seemed intrigued. He's even tasted jalapenos! That was also my fault. I fed him some squash shortly after I had been chopping raw jalapenos without realizing that my fingers were super spicy. He didn't cry, just made an "eeek!" face. Btw, do you condemn all alliums (the entire onion genus) or just allium cepa? Also, do you mean to despise both winter and summer squash? Are you allergic or is it just a hangup or some sort? Just curious because I can't imagine life without those foods.

Laudate_Dominum
Only because I so love pictchas!
The orange varieties are the most common type of sweet potato around here. The best sweet potato I ever had was of this variety (see below). Btw, I've had this variety many times and only that once was it absolutely epic. It is always a great variety though. Here it is alongside the more common variety. How could you (nihil) renounce so lovely a food!? Archaeology cat
Mmm, sweet potatoes! I like all potatoes, really. I have a butternut squash I'm going to roast. Mushrooms are awesome. And I get pretty excited about purple or red veg (carrots, broccoli, cabbage). And orange or green cauliflower.
