Saint Therese
Oh, wow! I can see why you wouldn't want to make a statement tho..anything you say would be misintepreted.
Hilde
Yeah, although I feel like defending the church and everything, I'm afraid of making things worse by being misrepresented or whatever. The lady who called was very focused on feelings, like how it feels to be Catholic now and if I think lesser of it or something. What I would have answered though, is that I was planning to become Catholic before this, and this isn't stopping me.
Saint Therese
That's becaus you're awesome! If I were in your situation I would have said something that would have gotten me in trouble like-I'm really a Catholic ninja.
Hilde
Thank you Me too. If I had been confronted with questions about trust, I would have pointed to the statistics and that's an example of something that could be misconstrued. In no way is that me defending the deplorable acts of the bishop, but rather a perspective showing I can trust Catholic priests equal to or more than the average people. A dude( Kid's tv-host) said on a humerus news show where they sit around discussing the news, that people who convert now should be checked. Well check me all you want. And how about checking facts? And the media in Norway is really writing a lot about this, man witch hunt. They're bringing up another abuse case too, done to a seminarists who is now a priest. And how would it be like dissing the media, too the media? Kind of ruined my Easter a little though. Edited April 13, 2010 by Hilde
Saint Therese
Don't let it get you down. Of course the world will hate you if you're living the life of Christ. (It doesn't get better, either).
Hilde
And I'm sure people just are going to love what that vice pope dude said about it being a homosexual problem. Yea, it is sad.
Saint Therese
Its only to be expected, tho. When you're living a good Christian life you make the lies of the world that more obvious
