Does Anyone Besides Me Hate Sushi?

I love sushi (done well, that is). My husband doesn't typically like fish in any form, and he's white. He's a meat and potatoes kind of guy.

Considering that at least 37 of the 51 posts made so far have either expressed an inclination or ambivalence (or a complete disregard for the topic), I'd say you've got a long way to go. Considering that your efficiency is only 27.5%, you'll need people to make about 364 posts in order to get one hundred sushi hating posts. At 20 posts a page, that's more than 18 pages of thread, an impressive number even for a very controversial thread (with substance).

I don't see you making it.

You may be in the minority, but sushi is still awful. But then lots of awful things are popular among the majority in America - piercings, drugs, abortion, reality shows, low-slung pants, and Mariah Carey for just a few examples. If trendy people were to start eating deep-fried dog meat, the majority of people would ooohhh and aaahhh and pay top dollar to choke it down and claim they liked it.

I prefer my fish cooked.

You're thinking about sashimi.

I really really love sushi and sashimi. ^_^
Although I don't like wasabi, which is totally uncool. Working on that.

The sushi in the picture is nigiri sushi, not sashimi, which is just the strips of raw fish. Also delicious. :) The rolls are just called...rolls. I know there are Japanese names for them, I just don't know them, but I've heard them just called roll sushi. Koreans have their own version as well; I never knew kimbap could have raw fish involved until I tried Japanese sushi for the first time in college.

Japanese food is pretty good, but I prefer Korean food. I'm a little biased though, since I'm Korean, and most of my comfort food is Korean food that my mom made since I was a little girl. And...we don't eat dogs on a regular basis. From what I understand, there are usually restaurants that specialize in dog meat, and it's not like you have one around ever corner. It's also not as though you take Fido from next door and use him for soup; they're dogs bred specifically for food. Still, I think it's gross, and I can safely say I've never seen dog on the menu at a Korean restaurant in the States, nor have I ever had it at home. We're also not the only ones who eat the cute and cuddlies that Americans dress up in little clothes and coddle like humans, but I won't get into that. So...I'd just like to make sure people don't think that dog is a common menu item or something, because it's definitely not.
