zunshynn
I've been to find the text for the liturgies for the Triduum online, for the extraordinary form... so I can familiarize myself a bit before I go, but I can't find anything... I know L_D posted a link some time ago that probably had something like that, but I can't remember the name of the thread. Anyone know of something online like that? Thanks much! I just found out tonight that there's going to be a baptism at the Easter Vigil I'm going to.
Yeah... monastery shrines can't have baptisms if there isn't a parish attached to it, so I haven't seen one in 3 years... and the last vigil I went to in my home parish was... well, different. There's also someone who was Eastern Orthodox coming into full communion. I'm so excited I went to a low mass this evening and got there a couple of hours early so I could just sit in the chapel by myself and pray... and then as it turns out, they were rehearsing for Good Friday, so I couldn't really be by myself. But it was cool to watch them. Edited March 31, 2010 by zunshynn

zunshynn
The second of these Masses is celebrated by the Bishop before noon in his Cathedral Church surrounded by his clergy, twelve acting as Priests, seven as Deacons, and another seven as Subdeacons. jeffpugh
Wait, apparently I won't be singing vigil. Parishes have to celebrate the OF because it's the norm... unless they're FSSP... That's what I was told today, anyway. Is that true?

But I don't think there's a restriction that only FSSP priests can do it. Rex might know more about that. I'm pretty sure his parish is not FSSP, but the EF celebrated by a diocesan priest.
Yes, the parish church where I attend the ancient Roman rite will be having its annual Holy Thursday Mass tomorrow night. Alas, the Good Friday service and Easter Vigil will be in the Novus Ordo instead.
