It is clearly a satchel; I would have to be a maroon to think otherwise.

What is a maroon? LOL The team name for the University of Chicago is the "maroons" and I guess that name is excrutiatingly politically correct, but it is also totally meaningless. (The school's colors are maroon and white.)

I'm sure rival teams call Chicago "The Morons," but I suspect that that is just jealousy on their part, because students at the University of Chicago may be "maroons" but they (mostly) aren't "morons," far from it.

back in highschool, our mascot was the diamondback rattlesnake...and we went by "The Rattlers." We played football against the Austin High Maroons. I never could figure out what a maroon was? Their mascot was this big fluffy purple circle thingy....

one game, a friend of mine yelled at the maroon mascot, "What the !@##$ are you supposed to be?" And to that, the mascot promptly waved it's large gloved hand at my friend, raising only the middle index finger...!

is it wrong to be a hippie?

There is nothing wrong with being a hippie (well, unless you are under the delusion that it is the 1960's). I only object to being called a hippie because I am not one. (If you saw me, you would think I was a "soccer mom" without the kids or the SUV.) However, a certain "mod type" with a satchel in his Avatar calls me a "hippie" because he is jealous that I grew up in Northern California, while he had the handicap of growing up in Southern California.
