By definition, I'm not sure it's possible to be a hippie and a warmonger at the same time. I come from the land where hippies were created, and part of the definition of a hippie is to say "Peace" a lot (usually under the influence of some plantlike substance). It's possible that, as a hippie grows older, he or she may become a warmonger, but if they do, they no longer are hippies, by definition.

jeffpugh
I would say hippies are secret warmongerers. After all, they are fighting today and doing quite the damage to "conservatism" and the holy deposit of faith in Americans and Canadians.

That would include stripy bell bottoms, a long tie die or flowery t-shirt, a rope cord belt on top of the t shirt, circular glasses, then really long (lice infested) hair and a flowery headband. Also you need to smell bad. That way nobody questions your hippie cred.
I mostly agree with you, but if you aren't going to actually partake of plantlike substances, you still need to talk as if are "under the influence of the evil weed." This can be learned quite easily. Also, ideally you should smell like marijuana, so find a venue where the majority of people are partaking and hang out there for awhile. That should do it. Also, for a male, a beard helps you look the part, ideally a scraggly beard. Having lice in your beard is particularly good for adding to your "hippie cred." Talking a lot about how many times you had to be taken to the free clinic also adds authenticity. Also, you should talk as if is the 60's and refuse to accept that the 60's are over.
