If you think of it, say "hi" to Montecassino for me :)
since you will be going to Assissi, I think you will be close to Subiaco and the Sacro Speco as well. I hope you have a great and blessed time.

Once you get there buy a ticket to a commuter ferry that can get your from there to Greece. Visit Greece. Stay in Greece. Italy can be kind of cool but it also kind of stinks. Greece is awesome. The commuter ferries are awesome. You meet all kinds of sketchy Balkan figures and see cool stuff. Not to mention the much cooler looking Orthodox Church's.

I LEAVE ON WEDNESDAY OUT OF JFK.

As in Wednesday the 19th. :saint:

I am accepting prayer requests, please provide your first name and your request. You can also PM me.

Even though I am not taking the course for credit, everyone is expected to keep a journal. I am going to fill the first few pages with prayer requests.

So, how many rosaries are you bringing to be blessed by the Pope during the audience? I probably shouldn't have brought this up--now everyone will want this and you'll have no room in your suitcase anything else! At least two PM'ers are making rosaries to sell to help pay debts so they can join an Order. I wonder how much more they could charge for rosaries blessed by the Pope? Heck, I'd buy one to give to Sister Helen.

I believe that if you sell a blessed item it loses its blessedness.

If that's the case, the people who are selling religious items on the Internet as "blessed by the Pope" are commiting a nice fraud.

On the Internet they also sell "blessed Lourdes water," "blessed Lourdes water," etc. If an item is sold, does the blessing go away only if it is blessed by the Pope--or blessed by anyone with the power to bless things.

Maybe there is a way around this though. The PM'ers making rosaries to be blessed by the Pope could give them to people. Then, in return, the person would give a "voluntary" donation.
