no no no...A group of "protestants" is not THE church...its a part of the church, but any part of the body of believers is A church.

when Paul wrote to the Corinthians or Thessalonians or the Galatians, he wrote "to THE CHURCHES at Galatia"...."unto the church of the Thessalonians "...twice to the Thessalonians... and "Unto the church of God which is at Corinth"

does this mean that each one was its own independent church? hardly.

and as for the other post...I did answer it...and if you didn't see it, then its because:

To many people in the world take rumors to heart without researching them.
