homeschoolmom
wow talk about a spiritual quest there. i would never wish that upon anyone. i think i had enough with my spiritual struggle and well its almost over. only a few more months until i go into the military
Not so much a quest as a couple of kicks in the pants. I grew up Methodist... It wasn't my choice. Became a Baptist when I got serious about Christ. Became a Catholic after learning more about it... Two good whoops in the behind. I wasn't looking. Sojourner
Pentecostals rock, especially when they're you, MG!! Welcome to Phatmass, and to Converts Anonymous ... look forward to chatting with you here (and elsewhere, of course!)
Mickey's_Girl
Thanks, Sojourner. ;-) Former Calvinists rock, too, esp. when they're you! I think Converts Anonymous is my favorite part of the phorum...do I know anyone else on here? Message me later if you can. MG
RachelB87
I wasn't raised anything. I just felt compelled to join the Catholic faith at the age of 16 because only God knows why. He has great plans for me, I guess.
OpusDei
(PLEASE excuse my spelling, english is not my first language). I was baptised in the Afrikaaner Dutch Reformed Church( in South Africa), a ultra conservative Calvinist church. Although when I converted to Catholisicm, I was attending a Fundamentalist church. daugher-of-Mary
I was pretty much raised in various degrees of the Annabaptist church (yup, spending a good number of years in cape dresses and bonnets), but never officially apart of any of those churches since they do not believe in infant baptism, and I became Catholic before reaching "baptising age" in the Annabaptist church. McKenzie
My family started attending a Baptist church first, then we left, then another Baptist church. After that, we were nothing for quite a long time. Finally, we started attending a Pentecostal church. Then we left. I became agnostic. Then pagan (I worshipped the ancient Egyptian gods. Totally serious.) Then, we almost became Mormon. Back to the Pentecostal church. Visited a Baptist church a while. Then, back to Pentecostal. Finally, Catholic. Apotheoun
As a former Methodist, I'm happy to see that nearly a quarter of the converts in the poll are from the Methodist Church.
