CatholicCrusader
That sounds good and all, but... the Church condemned Medgejorje. The Bishop of the Diocese stated that there were no appearances, and if you look at what Our Lady supposedly said: "All religions please My Son," etc., it is clear that it is all a hoax (unless She appeared a few times and then others lied to try to imitate it). In any event, it was condemned. As so many here like to say: who are we to say we know better than the Pope? Who are we to say we know better than a Bishop? God bless. StColette
The Church has neither condemned nor has approved Medjugorje. I have the documents saved on Favs. somewhere that states the Church's opinion of Medjugorje. And the Bishop of that area first approved the messages then did not approve them because of personal reasons. Even the Vatican knows this. That is why the Vatican has sent its own people to investigate Medjugorje. And as for the Pope he has given premission for the laity to go on Pilgrimage there. EcceNovaFacioOmni
Yeah I've read that those who codemned it were discredited and that the Church hasn't approved or disapporved of the apparition.
StColette
that's correct Dude, the Church still has it under investigation. Since it is private revelation the Church takes it very seriously. Medjugorje can also not yet be approved offically until the apparitions stop.
thicke
Actually, it's not under investigation. It can't be. The Church does not investigate such things until they stop. The apparitions are still on going there, so the Church has not started an investigation.
StColette
Findings of the Medjugorje Commission There would have to be some investigation into what is going on there for the Pope to allow pilgrimages there or for the Bishop to make a decision

Finally, as regards pilgrimages to Medjugorje, which are conducted privately, this Congregation points out that they are permitted on condition that they are not regarded as an authentification of events still taking place and which still call for an examination by the Church.
