Ever play Settlers of Catan?? :woot:
Haven't played that one yet but I hear it is really good. I'll suggest it for a future game night. :-D

My faves change regularly but lately the games I like are Battlestar Galactica, Arkham Horror, Stone Age, Small World and ZOMBIES!!!

Have you played 10? If so, how does it compare, in your opinion?
I played all of them from 10 on thus far, but I haven't actually played much of 13 much myself. Matt's been doing most of the actual playtime. I'll probably give it a whirl when he's at work or after he deploys. I like the look of it but he said there aren't a lot of side quests, and "it's all in one direction," so you may want another game to play on the side if you get bored with it. He's been going back and forth between this and another game when he gets tired of it. I, personally, don't really care about that and will play the whole thing without worrying about side stuff.

I'm not interested in a debate on the supposed wickedness of D&D. If D&D is dark-sided then WoW must be a literal portal to hell. Having a level 80 paladin is the most sure sign of reprobation.

But seriously, those posts didn't have anything to do with D&D so I wouldn't know what to say beyond posting the lol wut pear I guess.
For serious. lol (We played WOW for a couple months in Korea, but when the free trial ran out we quit. It wasn't worth the monthly fee.)
That's cool. I'm in two game clubs and in one we're currently doing a long D&D campaign but in the other we play a different board game each time. There are some pretty epic board games out there (the best ones seem to come from Europe imo) and it really is a fun way to hang out with friends, or even a spouse. I do like it more than computer games I have to say. :smokey:
That's cool. We usually approach gaming the same way--something fun we can do together. I love playing Scrabble with him, it's a challenge to see who can come up with the best words. lol

God gave us imaginations so we could use them. Some people just use them to play fairy and dragon games. Mostly they are 5 and 6 year old girls, but sometimes adult men do, too. :saint:

I'm pretty legendary at Catan.

Well in my family at least.

Hard game though. So frustrating. Some days you'll do great, other days you just can't a break and you finish the game with about two points (of the required ten).

I seriously LOL'ed. (I figured you, of all people, would understand that my joke was a rather flippant and humorous defense of gaming. ;) Glad you didn't take offense. )

Haha, funny image, you and the hubby playing WoW. lawl. :smokey: And yes, that monthly fee is killer. I have to REALLY like a game to do that and actually at the moment there are no games that I'm playing. Last game I got into was Star Trek Online but I stopped playing after the beta period ended.

Btw, phatcatholic pwns Scrabble! Not sure if you knew about that. I mean, it is SERIOUS business for him. haha.

Yeah, Matt's whole shop was playing at one point and they got us to join them. It was fun while it was basically free (except the cost of the game itself). Not fun enough to get addicted, though. :topsy:

I did for maybe a few months. I never felt like it was anything special, and that the interface could use quite a bit of improvement.

One thing that is good about that game is the constant updates. It's had multiple image overhauls in the last five years, and a few major gameplay changes too.
