God gave us imaginations so we could use them. Some people just use them to play fairy and dragon games. Mostly they are 5 and 6 year old girls, but sometimes adult men do, too. :saint:

Weird thing happened in December. We were at a Warhammer 40K shop, and this man with a beard, sandals, and a deep, deep blue robe with all these weird designs on it was at the counter. He made my skin srawl (he smelled really odd by the way). So, since I was uncomfortable, I made the Sign of the Cross, and prayed the Sub Tuum. He turned around and gave me the nastiest look I have ever seen. Now understand, I did all of this silently, mentally. He stared at me for a few moments before leaving, and it was quite unnerving. He also had one of the ugliest mini beards I have ever seen

I have read (from Fr. Amorth) that there is an odour of incense that Satanic Black Masses use, and if one is exposed to it long enough, it tends to stick around. He had a close encounter with a young man who was very deep into the Black Masses........ You can read about it in his books.

I enjoy the 40k setting for novels, but not to play. Of course the only person I ever met who collected an army for 40k always made my skin crawl and was arrested for child pornography charges so...

As for D&D, I play it with a group of friends just to have something to do. I've yet to see anyone make any sacrifices, or try anything of the sort. (Although there's this one guy with a chaotic neutral alignment in our party who worships Asmodeus, in character, that we keep on a short leash...) The DM tries to avoid the topic of false deities as much as possible since two of us are Catholic, even though everyone else in the group is either Agnostic or an Atheist. So we've yet to encounter anything that claims to be a god (other than the one guy with chaotic neutral alignment who swiftly finds himself surrounded by enemies when he does so).

 someone minused me for that! hahahaha I was totally joking because my husband and I have played similar type games (not specifically D&D). My "fantasy game" excursions have mostly been computer or playstation versions, but he's actually played the board game types with his friends a few times.

I hear you on the playstation games. :) I'm thinking about getting Final Fantasy XIII for the summer.

We've got it already. Matt's only complaint is that it's really linear. I'm a fan of the FF games, though. That style appeals to me. I'm pretty finicky about what I play.

Have you played 10? If so, how does it compare, in your opinion?

I'm not interested in a debate on the supposed wickedness of D&D. If D&D is dark-sided then WoW must be a literal portal to hell. Having a level 80 paladin is the most sure sign of reprobation.

But seriously, those posts didn't have anything to do with D&D so I wouldn't know what to say beyond posting the lol wut pear I guess.

That's cool. I'm in two game clubs and in one we're currently doing a long D&D campaign but in the other we play a different board game each time. There are some pretty epic board games out there (the best ones seem to come from Europe imo) and it really is a fun way to hang out with friends, or even a spouse. I do like it more than computer games I have to say. :smokey:
