TradMom
+Praised Be Jesus Christ! He is the Patron Saint of the Church - amongst other things, so in our house, we have a HUGE celebration! Here are some ideas: Have a big meal (we do Italian!). Invite friends over. Say the Litany of St. Joseph (we used to do it with a slide show, now our oldest "computer genius" son does a power point presentation - I have also found a couple of lovely ones on Youtube.com) Decorate a shelf, a table, a special corner as a "home altar" - we put flowers on it as well as our special prayer petitions. We also exchange spiritual bouquets with one another. Now that we have TWO daughters in religious life, and one is a Carmelite, we also prepare and send "care packages." We do it for both, though I think the Carmelite community most likely relates to it the best as he is also a very special patron for them. I would recommend that any phatmasser who can - please stop for a moment tomorrow and think of all the religious in the Church and say a prayer for them, asking Good Saint Joseph for his special intercession and blessings. Our religious need prayers so very much, and so do our future religious. I honestly hope and pray that all will celebrate the Feast of this glorious saint.
