prov31girl
Anytime I have a dream about my future groom, he doesn't have a face. Makes perfect sense since I have yet to find that man. Yeah...I'm exhausted so I don't really know what I'm trying to say.
BLAZEr
Guys sometimes dream about their future wife too . . . but we probably can't post them on phatmss . . . And now for something completely different: Get Steve Woods book: The ABC's of finding a Good Husband (Wife)
CreepyCrawler
between reading this thread and stuff on the nfp thread, i have come to the conclusion that all men aren't after one thing and that there ARE nice guys out there. who knew that men actually cared about following church teaching on SEX? -- certainly not me. i always thought that the guys who waited til they were married just wanted to have as much sex as possible no matter what after they were married (but then again, i only have one catholic guy friend and i haven't seen him in years and all the protestant guy friends i've talked to have said what i had assumed for everyone). so i think i'm pretty cynical about stuff, even though i really shouldn't be. maybe i just don't know where the nice boys live. not in the suburbs, apparently Edited April 16, 2004 by CreepyCrawler

Iacobus
One of my friends wants me to date some girl and my mom is like you need to get a date for prom, etc etc. So I say I have my sights set (kinda of) and won't turn away from my goal. My goal? A holy woman to help me grow closer to God and one I can help grow as well.
Quietfire
ok, so Im pretty sure I'm older than you all. being that youre stating that youre 16, 17 (*sniff...sob*) Dreaming about a spouse without a face? Did that for years, even when I thought I was with him. I would always have a repetetive dream(NO! no specifics here, LOL) with no face. Met a guy named David. Stopped having the dreams, all I kept seeing was his face in my dreams. I've been married for almost 8(has it been that long?) years and I still have dreams with his face seen. When I do dream about other men(like a fantasy, not like smacking the guys at work around type of dream) they always start out with some random guy and then, all of the sudden, its my husband. Makes me feel better, even in my dream. I had one of those last night, and for sure, it was random to Dave and I swear, I sighed in my sleep. Marriage is great, anyone who tells you that its terrible are crazy. People took bets at our wedding.(even my husband played along) and when I found out I ammended it. Told them that if we made it past the last choice, then I get to keep the money. Longest time bet was 2 years, BOY did I make easy money or what? He even cooks (one thing-but darnit he tries) so he made his chicken parmesian with angel hair pasta last night for me. Honestly, I have only one complaint...he wont go to mass anymore. He knows it bothers me. I was never confirmed in the faith, but he was. If he went to mass then it would be so much easier for me to get confirmed. I go to a Presbyterian Church(the one we were married in) but this will have to be my catholic church for now, so I can learn as much as possible so I can wear the full armor of God. Then!!! I can walk into the church and say "Lets Rock". A friend of mine is a deacon, and he told me that he would help me in any way. Great man, does TONS of charity work. Anyway, just wanted to add my 2 cents Speaking of which.. If you give your two cents and its a penny for your thoughts...... were does the extra cash go? Hmmmm, makes ya think. Dont ever give up on finding your soulmate....Just dont 'look' for them, and you'll find them easier, or they'll find you. Blessings!
Lil Red
If you want to keep dreaming about your perfect Catholic knight coming to rescue you, VeraMaria, immaculata and others, go ahead. I was just being realistic. Go ahead and be optimistic then, you are young. Don't come crying to me when you find reality.
i find your attitude pathetic. i'm a realist, a pessismist by most people's standards, but I realize that dreams can come true. I wish that some things in my life hadn't turned out the way I want them to, but I don't mock people who want better things in life than what the world gives them. Please don't put down other people's dreams. Please do not mock them. You don't have to agree with them, just don't make fun of them. Haven't you ever been made fun of or mocked? It hurts, doesn't it? Everyone has had it happen. Please be charitable. Vera, it is a beautiful dream, and no matter what God has in store for you, I'm sure that you will be happy. Lil Red
btw, I am married to a wonderful man that, though not Catholic, is one of the best examples of living (except for one or two things) as a "Christian". And he's not Christian. He keeps me up when I'm feeling down and motivates me to go to Mass and during Lent. I am truly blessed.
