now you are just being difficult. they obviously werent giving speeches when they were killed. it doesnt take a smart mind to figure out what message, and intent you mean to convey when you show up armed near a president you disagree with.

If I remember correctly no one at the event in question was arrested, because it is legal to carry weapons in Arizona.

Kennedy was sniped. You would have to disarm the entire populace to avoid that. Maybe you're fine with that, but I am not.

Anyone who is cunning, motivated, and has means could assassinate a political leader. Being a target is part of the job description. Half of America doesn't like you. Every candidate knows that, even someone who claims to be a 'unifier'.

Just because you can do something, doesnt mean there aren't cases where you really shouldn't. It shows extremely bad taste to show up armed to a debate or speech. through either a desire to suppress free speech or intimidate people who think differently than you through a show of force, rather than actual reasoned discourse. what is this? Rwanda? or like Iraq, where people feared for their lives going to vote?

I bet there was at least a couple snipers with sights aimed at these guys the whole time. that is not a situation most smart people would put themselves in.

none of that whole situation would happen in canada.

They simply exercised their constitutional rights, and you have no way of knowing the intent of the individuals concerned. Although, clearly their intent was not violent, since they did not use their guns.

right, clearly they were there so Obama could sign their gun stocks. im not saying they meant to kill Obama, obviously. they just meant to appear as though they were considering it.
you dont have to shoot a gun to intimidate someone with it.

In America people have a constitutional right to carry weapons. Were there any arrests? No, because nothing illegal was done.

If it's not a big deal, why do you limit who can observe who cast votes for a particular side?

Anyone can see who voted for what if it is a public poll.
