Totus Tuus
I think there's something to be said for genetics, too... I work out vigorously for at least an hour 4-6 times a week and eat very healthy (I am not on the meal plan at my school, I eat a LOT of fruits and veggies and all whole grain carbs) and I am still very "healthy" looking if you get what I mean. I am by no means thin, and it's just genetic as far as I know. I have friends here at school who never work out and eat french fries every day and weigh thirty pounds less than I do. Portion control is important in 'dieting'--I don't like that term--and hard to control, partic if you eat out. [/quote] bread, potatoes, pasta, peanut butter are forbidden foods? Not on my list, maybe it should be.

Lent is not about losing weight, but if that is another of your goals outside of Lent, then you need to cut out the above listed fattening foods to do so.
