Shana
I personally love searching the internet for vocation stories. I thought it would be nice if we could share good vocation stories we come across. Or share your own.

Maria Faustina
Sister Anna Grace Neenan, O.P. ^This Sister was my principal when I was in 7 & 8 grades. Now, she is studying at the Angelicum in Rome! Her story is sooo fascinating- she dropped out of high school to be a professional ballet dancer and danced for a long time, but then had an injury that forced her to take time off. She realized she had a vocation and became a Dominican Sister of Saint Cecilia. This is a video of her telling part of her story, along with some of the other Sisters from Nashville telling their own stories. Shana
I've read the vocation stories from the Sisters of Life and they were beautiful. I thought the part about that one where as a child she would dress her Barbie up like a nun was hilarious! And then there's one where before becoming a sister a young lady was serving in the navy or something like that...I thought it was such a bummer that she had to wait before becoming sister but I thought it was great how she ended up w/ a tabernacle in her little room on the boat...Jesus followed his bride to be out to sea...how romantic! lol. You can find some good ones on youtube as well. Here's Sr. Tracey Dugas', it's this video that first got me interested in the Daugthers of St. Paul (b/c she was an art student like me!). She is cute and hilarious...also gives some excellent discernment advice: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=87hGrdU9bA0 Edited February 7, 2010 by Shana
Tridenteen
JMJ This is a letter from a mother of the Benedictines of Mary Queen of Apostles. It is the mother talking about her daughter's vocation story. It was something I came across when they still had their blog up, and luckily, it was on the Archdioscese of Kansas City, Mo website. It really is beautiful, as well as funny http://www.diocese-kcsj.org/content/vocations/consecrated_life/parents/a_letter_from__a_mother/

I particularly loved that they included the two perspectives of the life of the Dominican contemplative vocation -- from one of the newest Sisters, to one of the older ones. Absolutely beautiful. The Laboure Society Click on "Aspirants", I think you'll have to mouse over to see which ones have active links to vocation stories.
