Margaret Mary
I have a friend who is a novice with this community. She is very happy there! God bless you.
marie
The Clinton township carmel allows live-ins. It allows women to go into cloister for a short period of time without actually entering as a postulant. Ask Mother Mary Terese about this, it is allowed by canon law. Nunsuch
A traditional saying in Carmel is that one is not just called to the order--one is called to a particular monastery. So it is important that you go beyond the general or the theoretical, and find a particular community that is right FOR YOU. And, of course, that you are right FOR THEM.... If you think a particular monastery may be right, then by all means get in touch with them and, if possible, visit and even experience a "live-in" if that is permitted. You are not "bothering" them. They want you to find your true vocation, whether or not it is with them. Blessings.
