Where I come from, we have a name for people like this, but I'm not sure if it's kosher to say it on PM or not.

She was Episcopal, not Anglican.
There is a difference between the two. :teach:

Actually, the Episcopal Church in the USA is the main branch of the Anglican Church in this country.

Besides, the Church of England itself now "ordains" women priests and bishops.

Yeah, the Episcopal Church is a province of the Anglican Communion.

However there is also an Anglican 'Church' in America as well.
The Episcopalians, as I understand it, are the most hopelessly liberal/heterodox out of all of the Anglican Communion.
They're the ones that have two non-celibate homosexual 'bishops'.

There are lots of splinter groups that have broken away from the Episcopal Church in the USA; nevertheless, the Episcopal Church in America remains the official "Anglican" Church in the United States.

Yes, the Episcopal Church in America is theologically degenerate, but it remains the official province of the Anglican Communion in the United States.

The "Episcopal Church" uses the same invalid ordination rite that the "Anglican Church" uses. Besides, the "bishops" of the "Episcopal Church" trace their apostolic succession through invalidly ordained Anglican "bishops".
Why are women not referred to as "priestesses?"
Valid point ftw. Because then they would come off as a new age Christian based cult.. wait a minute.

I read a blog post about it.

For the record, the presiding "bishop" is much worse. :P

It's really sad to see two women included in this celebration as presiders, not to mention the really ugly vestments. :ohno:

I love the Bad Vestments blog. I've seen many that I think he should include from the Anglican/Episcopalian community. :P

If you go to the website that she's at, and look at the pictures, the people are KNEELING to receive (and in the hand) whatever the heck they think they are receiving. I don't know if they think their hosts are actually Jesus (it does make a difference) or not, but the fact that they kneel and a lot of Catholics have a fit over it is a little bizarre
