Here, we have a lot of people pretending to be Polish on Fat Tuesday by eating and drinking too much and listening to polka music. (Exactly like Polish people, right?) It's like when people reduce Irish-ness to drinking green beer and wearing crappy novelty t-shirts on St. Patrick's Day. It's pretty shallow.
