frugaldreams
Jus a reminder it is coming up on the 16th of this month. If you don't have plans already, this is a good time to get a group together and plan to spend the evening, or at least part of the evening in Adoration. Also, if the Holy Spirit moves you, it is also a good day to add in extra fasting or little sacrifices as reparation for all the folks who are going out with the specific intent to sin in "celebration" of the beginning of the Holy season of Lent. [/quote] Yeah this one always troubled me, I have good friends who have good intentions for lent, giving up meat, fasting, adding prayers etc. for their lenten sacrifice, who believe its perfectly acceptable to get drunk and overeat and any thing else on fat tuesday. I have had some say this is recognized by the church, which I always say the church does recognize sin and evil, it just does not approve of it. ed
CatherineM
My celebrations haven't reached the level of drunken debauchery in many years.

Azriel
Ok, I gotta ask, even though it may be obvious. But, what is alligator chili?
CatherineM
Chili made with alligator meat. It was surprisingly easy to get here from the local seafood shop. We have a large Chinatown, and those folks eat anything. You can buy almost any seafood here live, and anything else frozen.
