Without question this is a huge issue to tackle. When the murder first took place, I saw it as such, that we cannot kill and still be able to some day overturn this flawed Supreme Court ruling.

As time has gone by, and I do not know the answer, how many late-term infantcides were prevented? Did some live because of this action? Please understand I am not trying to justify the sin of Roeder, but did any good come from this? Could that be possible?

Reading through this site http://www.dr-tiller.com/methods.htm is simply horrific and evil to what the late term infant went through at his Tiller's hands.

It wasn't that long ago that we had witch hunts and trials, again not defending Roeder's action, but it appears those witches did far less crimes against humanity than did Tiller.

I have grown torn, on the one hand we had this so-called doctor murdering babies for profit. And then a person who killed him to make him stop. Both were wrong.

I hope, in my lifetime, we can finally conclude that this is a crime against humanity as over 50 million babies have been killed since 1973 and who knows how many more via RU486 (morning after pill). The pro-infantcide side keeps their eye wide shut, how can one deny the life of such innocence especially with all the technology we have today? A sonogram alone shows the child is alive.

Sorry, just painful to think about.

God Bless you all.

The murders of Tiller are no more egregious than the uncounted murders by IUDs & Progestin-based Oral Contraceptives. There can exist no moral exception here without opening the floodgates to all manner of victimization: to give individual subjective moral license to kill someone when there exists no imminent threat to life is itself a crime against life. The principle of Double Effect denies the prospect of committing evil for 'good's sake'. It is morally impermissible regardless of the supposed good to be gained.

If Roeder had killed Tiller mid abortion this would all be an entirely different argument. However, he chose to make a political/religious point by killing him on a Sunday in church.
