I don't celebrate his feast until March 7th. :)

+1 to fix that. You are free to follow the '62 Calendar in my opinion.

What's the significance of January 26th in St. Thomas' life?
Even though Bonaventure in his great humility tore his hymns, I SO wish he didn't -- I would have loved to have been able to hear it, or at least read his lyrics! (I'm sure he'd beat out many contemporary composers any day.) ;)
I agree. :saint:

7 March, the Feast of St. Thomas Aquinas in the extraordinary form, is the date of his heavenly birthday; 28 January, the date of St. Thomas' feast in the ordinary form, is the date on which St. Thomas' relics were brought to Toulouse.

That's strange... I thought when constructing the NO calender they moved Saints' feasts to their heavenly birthdays, not from. Am I wrong?

Well, in any case, that's not what happened in this instance. The Angelic Doctor died on March 7th. :)

Some of them moved for strange reasons sometimes because other feasts were moved, or because more than one important saint was on the same day and the NO doesn't celebrate commemorations... St. Dominic moved two days later than the day he died (I think because the Transfiguration is now the 6th)

I don't even have to be here and people post for me - how neat!! I celebrate every feast twice these days, once for the EF Mass and once for the UK Breviary (Divine Office) and I get twice as much grace! :)

I would love to do the feasts all on one day only but I haven't made the switch to the Latin Breviary yet and don't know if I will until I see where I am going to end up as far as religious life goes. I had a hard enough time when I lived in the States and had two sets of the Divine Office, the US LOH and the UK DO .... and didn't know which one I should be using anymore. I change countries and communities so often!

Just and idea of the changes...
Singapore - UK breviary
Wolverhampton - UK
Daughters of Mary - US LOH
Hermits of Bethlehm - US
Edmonton Canada - UK (just to be different from all the other Canadian Carmels)
Sheffield - UK
Australia - UK (and now the EF Mass)

I just gotta settle down somewhere! :)
