In short, I think many non-Catholics view this process as "the Church putting someone in Heaven."

In fact Canonization of a Saint doesn't make a Saint a Saint. It only declares a Saint a Saint. The whole process is determining if the person is already a Saint (i.e. in Heaven). So it isn't like the Church causes the person to go to heaven when they make the pronouncement. When there is proof that the person is in Heaven already, then the Church can declare this a fact.

Wow. I am admist reading the Lamb's Supper right now and wow. It really has helped explain worship to me.

Question: The Passover was celebrated only once a year. Why is it now celebrated daily in the Catholic Church?

What is the best way you have ever heard the Real Presence of the Eucharist explained? Why is Real Presence necessary?
