Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam
One of the monks at Belmont Abbey makes rope rosaries but also makes little rope decades with a loop at the end so that the cross can be put through the loop and they can be worn on the wrist. It is alot harder to lose or break rosaries this way and seems to be like a nice middle ground.

Ed Normile
I always believed a rosary was for praying not for show. I have been to many catholic stores, some in shrines and one in a basilica that sell the giant wall rosary, I guess one could look at it hanging on your wall and pray while mentally holding their position while staring at a particular bead, not I however. These wall rosaries seem to me to be more of an item that says " look at me, I am a good catholic" then again I have been wrong at least one other time! ed
Ed Normile
The stuff here posted about wearing a rosary, especially the indulgence granted for wearing has me seriously giving thought to wearing my rosary. I think it would be great under my shirt as a reminder, and it would beat my urge to get a Sacred Heart of Jesus tattoo. I have wanted this tattoo for 29 years now, I could never determine if it was a sacrilege or not. I have been told by a priest that any tattoo was a sin, also I have been told by another it would be okay, they both seemed certain of their answer, but I have never done it for two reasons, uncertainty being the main reason, also I hate needles and would really hate to have this permanent tat and then find it was wrong and have to have it removed. ed
Guest Therese Dominique
There's a lady at my church who wears her rosary tucked in her belt loop, and I think it's a really nice and open way of showing devotion to Our Lady. I do cringe a bit, though, when I see someone wearing one around their neck who doesn't seem to be doing it for religious reasons. But good point...only God knows what's truly in their hearts. There may be other reasons not to get one, but I wouldn't think fear of sin need be one.
sacredheartandbloodofjesus
When I first converted I used to wear my rosary and scapular out....not for show mind you. I used to pray my rosary pretty much daily and wear it for protection when not praying it. Now I wear my scapular under my clothing and keep my rosary in my pocket everywhere I go.
