There is no excuse and no world where you should feel like you are risking negligence to the host because you want to receive Communion in the traditional Latin Rite posture. Perhaps the priest should be informed of the gross negligence of his EMHCs.
You mean I should report this to the same priest who puts the chalice on the altar for the free for all drink fest?Oh yes, he's going to care a lot! You really aren't comprehending the level of abuse that is going on in some places - and I am very glad for you that you don't have to witness it! But the way I see it, my best bet is the EF - that is why God led me to this church, I have no doubt of that.
Nihil Obstat
Didn't the FSSP refuse to distribute Communion rather than distribute it in the hand?
If you're thinking about my diocese, they did indeed. In the end, not only could they not distribute Communion, they couldn't celebrate publicly. You remember that though. Tridenteen
JMJ There was a weddong at out Church a while ago. The bride's friends were English Mass, and they tried recieving in the hand. The altar boy just put the paten over their hands, and then they figured it out. Fr.has said that even with the H1N1 he will not be giving Communion on the hand. Has anyine heard of the new "automatic Communion dispensers"? Fr.Z had an article about it.
