tinytherese
By praying for future spouse I mean if one were to say a Hail Mary for example daily for their future spouse that they be safe and grow in holiness until one is in fact married. CatherineM
By praying for future spouse I mean if one were to say a Hail Mary for example daily for their future spouse that they be safe and grow in holiness until one is in fact married.
I don't see a problem with that. My husband prayed for God to bring him a wife. I truthfully believe his prayers helped in my recovery before I even knew his name. We pray all the time for people we don't know. This week I've prayed for those suffering in Haiti, for our troops in the Middle East, and for the women in our neighborhood who believe that God gave them a beautiful body only to degrade it by selling it for sex. Prayers are rarely wasted, and the only ones I can imagine being bad are ones where we wish someone harm. Praying for your future spouse may reach out to someone who really needs those prayers, as I did.
