brightsadness
Isn't someone looking for non-cloistered contemplatives who pray for priests? Look what San Diego has. Tridenteen
JMJ I love these sisters! I called them back in June, when I was calling different convents that had been suggested to me, and inquiring about their life (a bit like a mini nun run). The sister who I talked to was so nice, and very good with explaing their life, which is full of devotion to God. I think they started up another convent in the north eastern part of the US, does anybody know? Tridenteen
tinytherese
What a beautiful looking community? Is that a large miraculous medal that they wear?

Sister was very excited abou their convent up their, although it seems some of their Mexican sisters were a bit worried about getting sent up there, due to the climate difference
holly.o
I think this is amazing:
Monastery Schedule - 5:30 Rise 5:45 Rosary before Dawn 6:30 Office and Lauds (Morning Prayer) 7:45 Breakfast 8:15 Work 9:30 Study 11:45 Sext (Midday Prayer) 12:00 Holy Mass 1:00 Lunch 2:00 Personal Time / Rest 3:00 Chaplet of Mercy 3:15 None (Middafternoon Prayer) 3:45 Work/Study 5:00 Vespers (Evening Prayer) 5:30 Evening Rosary 6:00 Personal Time 7:00 Collation 7:30 Recreation 8:30 Compline (Night Prayer) 9:00 Grand Silence – Twenty-four hours a day, the sisters adore Our Lord Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. Each sister has between 1-2 hours a day and 1-2 hours a night of solitary Eucharistic Adoration.
& those habits are so calming to look at... brightsadness
I have to go to San Diego for work during Lent and so have made arrangements to have a Retreat Day at the convent before coming home.
LilyofSaintMaria
I heard about this community earlier this year and am wondering if they celebrate the Tridentine Mass. Also, do you know if they have a particular devotion to Mary - such as the method of Saint Louis de Montfort? Any other information would be great, too! Thank you! Recordare Virgo
What a beautiful and joyous community! I wonder if they wear those extra long veils primarily during Eucharistic adoration. It's lovely, but seems impractical for other activities.
SstrAli
Has anyone visited these Sisters? They seem to be a beautiful community. And yes, I'm curious to as to if they have the Tridentine Rite Mass?
LilyofSaintMaria
Just found two articles about them: Here and Here But if anyone has any other information about them, that would be great!
I read the first article. What a holy group of women! One thing I loved was that their oldest vocation is 95! She had been a benefactor and said she wanted to die in the habit. The sister entered the novitiate at age 92. Talk about an "older" vocation!
