rhetoricfemme
The Haitians "were under the heel of the French. You know, Napoleon III and whatever," Robertson said on his broadcast Wednesday. "And they got together and swore a pact to the devil. They said, 'We will serve you if you will get us free from the French.' True story. And so, the devil said, 'OK, it's a deal.' " Is Mr. Robertson or his ministry even doing anything to help Haiti out? I know many missionaries help out in Haiti, though I don't know if his ministry has ever been involved with any of them. I'm just mad that someone who claims to speak for Christ prefers to do an 'I told you so' dance instead of offering love and help.

Era Might
There were some present at that very time who told him of the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. And he answered them, "Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans, because they suffered thus? I tell you, No; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish. Or those eighteen upon whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them, do you think that they were worse offenders than all the others who dwelt in Jerusalem? I tell you, No; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish." --Luke 13:1-5

Lounge Daddy
Is Mr. Robertson or his ministry even doing anything to help Haiti out?
Nah, he just likes to list people who are going to hell. That's the problem with people who think that every time something bad happens it's punishment. These kinds of people freak out when they get sick, wondering what they did wrong. Worse when they get injured. Who wants to construct a sad frightening world like that for themselves? Vincent Vega
What a jackass. Whether a direct/indirect consequence of sin or not, now is not an appropriate time to speculate. God have mercy on him.
Winchester
And, isn't sanity really just a one-trick pony anyway? I mean all you get is one trick, rational thinking, but when you're good and crazy, oooh, oooh, oooh, the sky is the limit.
Selah
What a jackass.
I love how blunt you are. These people are suffering. He needs to shut up and show compassion and kindness for these people. Even if they did supposedly make a pact with the Devil, he sure as Tarturus has no right to point it out. I hope to God no one treats him this way when he loses a loves one. Mind your own beaver dam business, Patty boy. homeschoolmom
You know, the American colonies were under the authority of the British crown-- King George III and all, you know. Then 'they' made a pact with the devil to kick the British out. And the devil said, "Okay." True story. I mean, look, the United States and Canada-- they're on the same continent... The US has hurricanes hitting it all the time, but Canada doesn't. So, there you go.
