Looks good.

I've been a free weight guy for years, but last year picked up a Bowflex Ultimate 2. Why? After battering my body, sports wise (Football, Hockey and Baseball), had ACL the doctor who performed the surgery (NY Hospital for Special Surgery and the Mets doctor) suggested it, as it takes up less space than a ton of equipment I had access to or needed to go to a gym.

While I still remain skeptical about resistance vs. weights, I still use my free weights but have to say that being able to do leg curls, leg extensions and squats at home as well as ab crunches (plus other stuff like preacher curls, etc.) it is not bad.

Like I said, I'm a free weight guy, but it is not bad and allows me to do full workouts at home and not have to go to the gym.

I've got a simple "home gym" set up at my parents house (I'm trying to get my parents exercising too). It's just a barbell, "squat bar", power rack, and adjustable bench. Perhaps a couple dumbbells would complete it but it's not bad for now. I also belong to the Ice-o-plex. And they have a complete weight room.

Anyway I had been doing squats so that's a loaded "squat bar" in the picture. It works well. And it's MUCH more comfortable than just setting a heavy barbell on your back!!

I confess that I haven't used those weights in a while. That was back at my parents house. I bought my own house and I haven't moved the weights here. I'll probably just train at the gym near where I work. I know what you mean about free weights being better. But Bowflex is definitely better than not training at all.
