The quote from the Archbishop is unbelievably lame. Why does he even have to say anything about it?

“Jesus liked to have fun, when he walked into the temple and started teaching the high priests, so he was having fun. So I’m pretty sure the people that are going to come into this church for recreational activities, I’m sure the Lord will be watching from above and say, ‘Yeah, I like this."

The church was on the market for two years. I imagine it was not an active parish and has not been for some time.

I think the quote is probably not representative of everything the bishop said. Quotations are generally selected from the whackiest part of what you say. Hopefully, the bishop could say more interesting things if given more than an edited sound byte.
