ThyWillBeDone
I am in the proccess of applying to Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary in Philadelphia. I visited once and have heard good things about it. Just wondering if anyone else knows anything about it, is it as conservative as I have heard? I sure hope it is. God Bless

CatherineM
Hate posting in old threads, but I'd like to put a plug in for St. Joseph's Seminary and Newman Theological College where I attend. Since the new Archbishop came 4 or so years ago, the college has booted or retired all the liberal professors, culminating in the replacement of the liberal, lay president of the college with the rector from the seminary. There are lots of people howling that the college is becoming too clerical in theology. The priests in charge now as Dean and as President are both some of the best orthodox priests I have ever dealt with, and I consider it a privilege to be allowed to study along side future priests. loveletslive
my bishop is very selective about where he sends our seminarians - st. john vianney in minnesota, st. meinrad in indiana, blessed john XXIII in massachusetts (for late vocations), and mount saint mary's in emmitsburg. he pulled all the college seminarians out of the josephinum 2 years ago (a new rector or something?) and now they all go to SJV.
