Yeah, because muslims are indigenous to Chechnya. There wasn't any imperialism involved in the spread of Islam. Islam didn't slaughter its way into places, everyone just decided they didn't like eating pork and didn't have enough rules.

For a vicious, warlike religion, they sure are a bunch of bitchy whiners when they're on the receiving end of the same croutons they're historically more than willing to dish out.

Of course, most groups are like that.

Chechens are indigenous to Chechnya. The Chechens aren't Turks, they converted to Islam under Turkish rule. I'm sure the Turkish dominance had some influence on their conversion, but generally the Turks didn't try to force their subjects to convert seeing as the jizyah was a pretty substantial part of the empire's treasury. Your argument makes no sense seeing as the Chechens as a people didn't kill or slaughter their way into anything, but are just once again under the heel of an expansionist great power.
