Uh..You do realise that Neopaganism is one of the fastest growing religions in Europe, America and Canada?
I personally did not.

But think about this Varg, I know I am a bit of a noobie here, but has not the Church, a human founded, but divinely inspired institution been around for over 2000 years?

And if you look back, there is not a single institution that has lasted that long and weathered as much as the Catholic Church.

Yep. Already made fun of myself, though.

And neopaganism isn't a religion, it's an amalgam of croutons.

Nothing like self-deprication, eh?

Why is Norse Truthology croutons?

I was under the impression that Odinism is a branch of Paganism.

You learn something every day.

Buddhism. Jainism. Hinduism. Come to think about it, there are plenty.

Yes, it has. But the number of atheists has increased dramatically over the past few years.

Make any excuses about it that you want, won't change the fact that your religion is dying.

No. The original Norse Truthology is Paganism, but the revival of of the truth is a branch of Neopaganism

Ah, I see you're playing the "Deliberately spell Neopaganism with a lower case "n" even when it's at the beginning of a sentance to show your distaste for it" card.

Sneaky.

Hmmm, well Buddhism and the rest do not exactly have a "founded" institution like the Catholic Church, they are eastern religions and more or less along the lines of the more ancient religions. And what I mean by ancient is that they were around during the B.C. era.

As to the second part, that is because we now have science proving everything we formerly thought God resolved for us, though in turn our faith has come to realize that we do not need God to explain away such menial things either. So, as we say reason keeps plodding along, though just because numbers are up does not mean that relgion die out, I mean just because people are seemingly becoming "less" ignorant does not mean that people will suddenly think we are above religion in some form or another.

Not intentionally. But yeah, I have no respect for neopaganism. It's tripe. Norse religion--cool.

Neopaganism, then, is composed of many branches. Is every single branch on the rise? Your earlier statement makes it seem so. My point is that just because Neopaganism is gaining popularity does not mean that Odin is.

Odinism is a polytheistic religion, [mod]personal attack -- IP [/mod]. I know that might make too much sense for a Christian to understand, but still...
