Germany Jails Eight Christian Fathers

Germany's mandatory education laws are a headache not just to Christian parents, but also to Muslim families, who often would like to opt out of certain activities (ie, females in gym class or the like). While certainly homeschooling can be abused (think compounds built by cults, in which the children are not allowed any contact with the outside world), to penalize these families so heavily when they are just looking out for the best interests of their kids is just...so so sad.

It really depends upon what Varg meant by the comment. I took is as supportive of the German government, while you took it as an expression of sarcasm.

Perhaps I should give Varg the benefit of the doubt, but his previous comments have made that difficult.

I don't know, I find it very easy to doubt him.

The German government is long-experienced in painting certain groups of people as extremists opposed to the good of the people. All hail the Fourth Reich!
