But you should start teaching it to him younger so he will be halfway fluent by the time he turns 7. We had some kids on our bus that went to a private Christian school which taught them latin and the third and fourth graders on the bus would send secret messages to each other so no one else could understand. One of my friends spent five years out west in a Benedictine Seminary. Then he decided it wasn't his calling and got married. He speaks only Latin to both his boys.
