A Sin To Be In Law Enforcement?

In a previous thread, it was apparent that a number of individuals expressed their dissatisfaction with Catholics serving in the military, I thought I would then ask this question:

[b]"In your book, is it also a sin for Catholics to serve in law enforcement?"[/b]

If 'yes', could you answer this question:

[b][i]"If it's a sin to be in law enforcement, who then should enforce the law or protect the innocent?"[/b][/i]

Curious on what some of the responses will be.

I wasn't one who thought it was a sin to serve in the Military (my husband heard me use a new cuss word for the first time when I read that in the other threat), and I also don't think serving in the police is a sin.

I'm sure our resident anarchists will say it is.

However, anarchism was never a view espoused by the Church (as well as being opposed to the basic reality of the human condition).
