TradMom
+Praised be Jesus Christ! http://gloria.tv/?media=39065 I found this on gloria.tv, but I can't seem to get a video to play. Perhaps it is only pictures? I don't have the time now to investigate my failure, but I did think some of you would know them and/or LIKE to know them. They certainly do look beautiful! The very, very shallow part of me just loves those habits...! Pax! TradMom
babygirl
The Francisan sisters of the immaculate- they are pretty cool sisters and they have an active branch of this order here in london- very humble. If you are in london you can catch some the sisters participating in some prayer meetings called A day with Mary. Always a blessed day.http://marymediatrix.com/ This website talks loads about them. I pray to our lady always that one day i can discern with them, very soon. I need to tidy some loose ends in my life.

HisChild
I wrote to them many years ago because of their founder, Fr. Manelli. I'd read several of his books. They do seem lovely.
zunshynn
What a beautiful community. I knew they had contemplative sisters but knew very little about them. Here's another article about them recently published by the New Liturgical Movement: Contemplative Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate
organwerke
I think in this phorum there is a girl who is going to enter this Order next year!
laetitia crucis
I visited these sisters for two weeks this summer in Massachusetts and have been actively discerning with them this past year -- they are absolutely amazing! They are very faithful to their Franciscan roots while also fully living out their Marian Vow (which is their First Vow). I highly recommend them to anyone considering a semi-contemplative vocation. Or even contemplative as they do have a contemplative branch. Here is another thread speaking of the Franciscans of the Immaculate -- both male and female branches. I think we've had two men (rising_suns and johnnydigit) from this Phorum enter the Friars, and I know of another young woman that is awaiting entrance from this Phorum. As for myself, I'm still discerning with these amazing sisters. I've recently been accepted for entrance, but as much as I love these sisters, I'm just not sure if God is really calling me there. I want to do His will, not mine. (If I knew He was calling me there, I'd go in a heartbeat -- that is, once my student loans were taken care of. ) To say the least, I'm glad to have these sisters praying for my discernment. One of my friends (a young woman that was visiting with me this summer) has just entered. She'll become an official aspirant tomorrow -- the Feast of the Presentation of Mary. Blessed be God! loveletslive
we have three friars in my college town (there used to be a few sisters but they left ). they are awesomely orthodox (the friars celebrate mass ad orientem (i think that's the correct term? facing the same direction as the people) and chant many parts of the mass in latin/english. and they are amazing confessors! Agnes
I will be entering the Sisters as soon as I pay off my college loans... but who knows when that will be?! They are, as laetitia crucis said, a very amazing community. The friars are great, as well. I also HIGHLY recommend them to anyone and everyone.
